Everything here is designed to feel accessible, practical, and sustainable. My approach blends lived experience, actionable tools, and spiritual insight to help you create self-care habits that truly support your life—not just your to-do list.
What SCBT Stands For
Self-Care by Tahira is rooted in preventive wellness and complementary self-care, guided by the World Health Organization’s definition of self-care: “the ability of individuals, families, and communities to promote health, prevent disease, maintain health, and cope with illness and disability with or without the support of a healthcare provider.”
This work is also about breaking the stigma around mental and emotional health. It’s about reframing spirituality as grounded and practical—not “woo” or out of touch with reality. By grounding metaphysical guidance with science-backed strategies, self-care becomes a way of life that feels accessible, sustainable, and empowering.
My Journey
I’ve learned that I never find true balance unless I’m aligning all five pillars of wellness. That’s making sure nutritional, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual fitness practices are fully synced. These tools have helped me heal, rebuild resilience, and reconnect with parts of myself I didn’t realize existed. Everything I share is rooted in both practical science and metaphysical wisdom because real transformation comes from honoring all parts of yourself.

You won’t find toxic positivity or one-size-fits-all solutions here. Instead, you’ll find a mix of thoughtful reflection and grounded action, shaped by my own healing journey and years of study in fitness, nutrition, and alternative healing practices. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you move forward with clarity, resilience, and confidence.
Why I Created Self-Care by Tahira
As a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer and holistic wellness advocate, I see movement, nutrition, and self-care as more than physical practices. They are life-sustaining, mentally and emotionally charged tools that shape the way we live. Our thoughts create emotions, emotions drive habits, and habits build our reality. Lasting transformation, however, still needs a stable foundation: physical fitness. This platform is my way of making quality wellness education accessible and creating a supportive space for people ready to feel more connected to themselves and the world around them.
